Artist Series Continues August 8 2008, 11:13 am
Mr. Charles Frank will exhibit his photographs during the month of August, highlighting his techniques in preparation for his Digital Photography Classes. An Artists Reception will be held for Mr. Frank on Saturday, August 9, 1:00 - 3:00 P.M.

Friday, August 8, 6 - 8 P.M. - "Understanding & Using Your Digital Camera"

Saturday, August 8, 10AM - Noon - "Taking Pictures That Pop"

Friday, August 15, 6 - 8 P.M. - "Digital File Management"

Saturday, August 16, 10AM - Noon - "Edit, Print, and E-Mail Your Work"

Space is limited and you are encouraged to sign up ahead of time. Please bring your camera and a sample of your work. Laptops are welcomed.

Nicole is working on her Gold Medal and bringing awareness of The Little People of America and their need for sports equipment.

Tie-Dye afternoon for those entering grades 6 through 12, Thursday, August 21, 4:30 P.M. The Library will have a limited number of white tee shirts, but you are invitied to bring your own item for the activity. We will play a movie rated PG or PG-13. Please call ahead for the title.

Music In The Grove Library Concerts for Summer 2008

Saturday, July 5, 6:00 P.M. Walden's own songbird Alice Nielsen-Shane, jazz pianist, featuring blues, rags and torch songs; and Howard Garrett of Montgomery as he freatures his varies orchestrations as demonstrated on his very own Monkey Organ Grinder!

Monday, July 7, 6:30 P.M. The ever popular Pine Bush Community Band will kick-off their summer season tour featuring many local musicians under the direction of Thomas J. Fadden.

Saturday, July 26, 6:30 P.M. The Bernstein Bard Trio of New Paltz will feature the romance of the tango, the lilt of mazurka, the elegance of swing, the many shades of waltz, a cool bossa nova, a fiery samba and the passion of the blues. This trio enraptures audiences with their exquisite sounds.

Saturday, August 9, 6:30 P.M. The Hudson Rhythm Boys will play American Roots music, Delta Blues, Country, and Bluegrass all in a pleasing rollicking acoustic style bound to get your toe tappin' and your feet movin'.
