OBTAINING A LIBRARY CARD
A. To obtain a library card, one must be a resident of the E.B. Crawford Public Library district. The Library district is comprised of those portions of the Monticello Central School district, in the Towns of Bethel, Forestburgh, and Thompson.
B. Applicants in the Children's Room need to be able to print or write their full names. A parent must sign the application card also.
C. Applicants in the Adult Room must be 14 years of age or older, and produce a form of ID showing their address.
D. If they do not possess such identification, a postcard is mailed to the applicant. When the applicant brings in the card, he or she is issued a library card.
E. A library card entitles the bearer to borrow from both the Adult's and the Children's Rooms.
F. First time borrowers are limited to one book from the adult section and one from the children's section.
G. An adult patron must present their library card to check out books When an adult patron does not have a card with them, there is a charge of $.25 to check out books.
H. There is a charge of $2.00 to replace a lost library card.
CIRCULATION POLICY
A. Patrons may borrow up to 4 new titles in the Adult Library and up to 6 new titles in the Children's Library.
B. Patrons may borrow up to 4 items in each non-book collection (video, audio, etc.)
C. Any item from the library collection maybe borrowed for 14 days.
