Old (Second) Methodist Church site

In 1888 a two- room schoolhouse was built on Jersey Avenue land owned by Dr. Ross Wilson. Dr. Wilson donated the land and the building to the Methodist Church. The schoolhouse was taken down and Greenwood Lake's second Methodist church was built. Upon purchase of the land, the Methodists agreed to give the land back to the Wilson family when and if the church ever became obsolete. The church lasted until the 1930's when it was given back to the Wilson family. Since then, it has been the home of many businesses and is currently being renovated into an art studio.
