Greenwood Lake Elementary School

This building, built in 1927, originally housed both the elementary and middle school for the Greenwood Lake school district. Over the next 34 years, as the village population grew, it was clear that the building would not be big enough. In 1961, an addition was built onto the west side of the building. Numbers of students increased so dramatically that in 1973, a separate Middle School had to be built on Lakes Road. The Elementary School now is home to 1st-3rd grade children.
