Fall Into Books

The 19th Annual Fall Into Books will be held at the  Best Western Plus Kingston Hotel and Conference Center,
 503 Washington Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401-2906 on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. (Click here for flyer)
The Conference is open to anyone interested in literature for young people.

Special Gusest  Speaker:  Kwame Alexander believes that poetry can change the world, and he uses it to inspire and empower young people through his Page To Stage writing and publishing program released by Scholastic.  He is a New York Times Bestselling author of 21 books, including Booked and The Crossover, which received the 2015 John Newbery Medal for the Most Distinguished Contribution to American literature for Children, the Coretta Scott King Author Award Honor, The NCTE Charlotte Huck Honor, the Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry Award, and the Paterson Poetry Prize.  Kwame writes for children of all ages.  His other works include Surf ’s Up, a picture book, Crush: Love Poems for Teenagers, and He Said She Said, a YA novel.

Attendees are able to pre-order books, by the featured author, by completing the form on the registration sheet, insuring that the books they wish to purchase will be available at the Conference.  The book sale will accept payment by cash or check only. NO credit cards.

Fall Into Books Annual Children's and Young Adult Literature Conference is sponsored by:

The Fall Into Books Conference is held annually in the late fall.  The schedule for the day is similar from year to year: book sales, kickoff speaker, two 1-hour book discussion sessions (ranging from picture books to books for teens), lunch, author presentation and author signing.  Books may be purchased other times during the day as well.  Attendees are able to pre-order books by the featured authors by completing the form on the registration sheet, insuring that the books they wish to purchase will be available at the Conference.  NOTE: Ulster BOCES is unable to accept payment by credit card; only cash or checks will be accepted.
