Welcome and Introductions.
CLOUSC business for 2013-2014
•    Reports on Special Events: Notables Banquet well received; BookExpo – some attended “Day of Dialog” and free books for giveaways most valued.
•    Randy asked about Gaming Workshop. Point was noted that if libraries are planning to borrow RCLS gaming equipment, make sure you have proper cable connections for your setup.
        SRP planning and Newspaper Inserts: distributed; .pdf will be on RCLS website. Comment that this is a very easy committee to serve on as there is little to do between Randy, Printer and the manual.
        Mock Newbery Committee- call for new members for next year. Email Michelle Muller if you’re interested.
        Draft of CLOUSC 2014-15 Schedule of Meetings distributed. Suggestions for topics for bookshares and/or “at noon” speakers: Mount Saint Mary presentation on Hands on Art, Wordless and nearly wordless books; books in rhyme; books in verse for older and younger readers; Beth Zambito on Early Literacy; Accu-cuts workshop; Policies on Unattended children; Homeschoolers in Library.
        Randy mentioned still some money to spend for accucut dies.
Highlights from Announcements from Randy
    Nomination guidelines distributed for RCLS Outstanding Library Program; 2015-16 Summer Reading Grants will focus on family programs with teens; New Dies will be sent to Rockland and available at select locations around RCLS region.

2-minutes of fame  
•    Florida : Mother’s Day family program- 5 drop in craft stations drew families not seen in library programs before. Also used teen helpers for rubber band bracelets program for children.
•    Goshen: Bingo for Children’s Book Week; 30 business’ participated; culminated with outdoor games party- teen helpers.
