Library Reported Reopening Measures
Curbside pickup continues, and our outdoor bookdrop remains open 24/7 for returns.
The Library building is open to the public, without appointment, Monday 10am-5pm; Tuesday-Thursday 10am-7pm; Friday 10am-5pm; Saturday 12pm-5pm for browsing, solo reading/study and access to public computers. Face covering for all age 2+, use of hand sanitizer and social distancing required.  The Library is closed on Sunday.   
  • All services (notary, copies, faxes) are available. Patrons are limited to half an hour

in the building and at the public computers. We are not permitting gatherings of any kind
or onsite programming. We now have a walk-up window should we close to outside

  • traffic, so we can maintain some semblance of ongoing service.

Sept 8 the Cornwall Public Library will be open to the public for browsing, by appointment only. In-person visits will be limited to 20 minutes.  Computers will be available for 45-minute appointments, no extensions. All returns should go in the drive-up bookdrop.

Hours open to the public will be M-Th 9-7, Fr 9-5, Sat 9-3, and Sun 1-3.

The Fallsburg Library is offering limited, appointment only, in building access for computer use and browsing. Appointment slots are for 30 minutes per person per day, and should be made in advance as we have limits on the number of patrons allowed in the building at any given time. You must be on time for your appointment to ensure you receive your full 30 minutes. Please note that face coverings are required to be worn properly (nose and mouth covered) during your full time in the building. Hand sanitizer is available for use at the entrance. We are still offering curbside appointments for picking up holds, as well as copying and faxing services. You can also choose to forward us emails (to fbr@rcls.org) of items that you need to have printed off if you are uncomfortable coming into the building to use a computer. November 2020 - Finkelstein Library will remain at curbside levels of service until further notice

AUGUST 10 : THE LOBBY WILL OPEN FOR CHECKOUT!  Until further notice our doors will be open for checkout ONLY. We are working hard to create a safe and efficient environment for all. To find out when our next phase begins and when the stacks are open for browsing, please check our website.  
How to CHECK OUT during our lobby-phased opening:  Schedule an appointment. We will still be calling patrons but will also accept calls. Your item must be ready for pickup before we can schedule an appointment.* Adhere to your appointment time and COVID protocol. Everyone must wear a mask. Present your library card.  *You may also request to pick up materials at Wesley Hills Village Hall lock box. 
How to RETURN materials, ONLY USE OUR BOOK DROPS:  There are "OPEN" and "CLOSED" signs on our many book drops.  You will not be able to return materials to a staff member at the circulation desk.  On Saturday and Sunday, only you may also return items to our book drops at our remote locations at Wesley Hills Village Hall, Eugene Levy Memorial Park, and Hillcrest Shopping Plaza. These materials will be checked in the following Saturday with no penalty to the patron.  All materials will be quarantined for 3 days for the safety of staff and our patrons. It might take up to 5 days for items to come off your account. NO FINES through September! Please return materials in a timely manner so others may enjoy.
We are currently looking at September 14 to be open for browsing and computers.


Florida Public Library is pleased to announce its reopening to the public on Saturday, August 1. RCLS cardholders can once more visit the library to check out books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, video games, magazines and more. The number of people allowed in the building will be limited. All persons entering the library are required to wear face covering and observe social distancing requirements. Patrons are asked to enter through the rear door off the deck and exit through the side door; the front entrance will be closed. Hand sanitizer will be available at both doors. The stacks will be open for browsing, but patrons are asked not to linger so that more people can use the building. No inside seating will be available, except for patrons using limited public computers for 30-minute sessions. Wi-Fi is available on the rear deck and patrons are welcome to sit at the picnic tables.

For patrons not wishing to enter the building, curbside service will be available through Labor Day, or longer, if necessary. Library fines are suspended through Labor Day. Notary public service is by appointment; printing, photocopying and faxing are available anytime the library is open. FPL will close to the public one hour early to allow staff to clean the building. On June 15th Goshen Library opened its outdoor book drop for 24/7 returns.
As of June 22nd we have been offering walkup window services including pickup of reserved books, wireless printing, FAXing, photocopying and library card registrations by schedule for several hours each afternoon.
August 3rd began stage 4 of our re-opening plan which involves public access to the building in limited numbers and for limited periods of time, both on the main level and in the Children’s area.
On September 2nd our hours expanded….Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m. (7:00 p.m. closing for the Children’s area), Fridays 11:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Our walkup window continues to be an option. Masks are required at our walkup window and for entering the building. Gloves are available and required for browsing. Telephone appointments are accepted for public computer use.

Bookdrop is open now. Greenwood Lake is offering curbside service as well as notary, printing and faxing services (also curbside) through till Aug 2. Opening to the public on Aug 3 by appointment only: 25 minutes for computer use, 45 minutes for Childrens Area, one family at a time. 15 minutes for browsing, notary service or printing/faxing services.

Nov. 9 - Greenwood Lake Public Library now has unlocked doors from 10-1 Mon-Sat and then all other times by appointment.  No changes in delivery info.  We are still closed to the public for the first hour (9-10) for material cleaning and the last hour (8-9 or 4-5) for facility cleaning . (Sundays it's 1/2 hour each). We continue to monitor the local infection numbers closely and will adjust procedures accordingly.

Please make sure to be on time.  Curbside Service is still being offered to patrons not wishing to enter the building.  The Book Drop has been open for return items.  Free Wi Fi is available outside of the building. ORANGEBURG LIBRARY Book drop is open.  Opened for curbside pickup on June 15th. Opened on July 20th by appointment for reference, browsing, copier/bax service and public computer usage.

The library will be reverting to curbside-only service starting November 30, 2020. No appointment needed, just call when you're outside! You can also ask a librarian questions by phone, or email. Remember, you can still use the Library remotely, anywhere and anytime!

PEARL RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY The Pearl River Public Library will be going back to curbside service only effective Saturday 11/21/20, and will reassess on a weekly basis. Patrons will have access to many of our services, but will not be allowed inside the building to browse or use computers.

  • As of Monday, August 17, the Sloatsburg Library is excited to announce it will re-open for patrons to browse for books, CD's and DVD's (for up to 30 minutes per visit). We will limit the number of patrons inside at any given time to adapt to NY State guidelines and all patrons (over the age of two) must have a working mask on their face to be in our building.

    While we will be open for browsing in our main space, our children's room will continue to be closed (though all our children's materials will be made available upon request). In addition, there will be no seating available and food and drink are not permitted at the current time. 

    Library computers will be available during open hours by appointment only and for a maximum of 30 minutes per day. Computer time will only be available with a reservation. There may be a limited browsing option for library materials during these appointments. Patrons waiting for computer appointments will be asked to wait outside the library. 

    The library will dedicate special hours for seniors and immunocompromised patrons admittance only. These hours are as follows:
